We work hard to create free events within Vasse that support a close-knit community. These include:

- Sustainability, cultural and other family friendly events
- Sponsorship of local not-for-profit clubs, groups and events.

Do you have a not-for-profit community group or club and need some funds? If so, you can apply for financial assistance through the Vasse Development Sponsorship Program.
We currently provide sponsorship support to Vasse Primary School, Cape Naturaliste College, Vasse Art Awards, Vasse Junior Soccer Club, Vasse Magpies Netball Club, Vasse Cricket Club, Vasse Districts Community Centre, Vasse Royals FC, Vasse Kakkas FC and the Vasse Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade.

Vasse Community Development Officer
Our Vasse Community Development Officer role was created to help facilitate a close-knit community within Vasse.
Nicole Andrijevic started in this role in 2018. She helps to facilitate and coordinate community development initiatives, events, programs, groups and sponsorships.

Vasse Sports, Fitness & Community Groups
The Vasse community enjoys sports, fitness, health and a family friendly environment. Whether you are looking to join a local sports team, want to find a yoga class or the local playgroup, you can find them listed in our Community Directory below.

The Vasse Markets
The Vasse Markets have been trading for over 20 years, showcasing locally hand made goods and produce in the Vasse region. You can find locally grown fresh produce, hand-made cakes, jam, chutney, candles, knitted and hand-sewn items, hand-crafted wooden products, jewellery, locally made soaps and much more.
When & Where:
The Markets run every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 7.30am-12pm at the Vasse Hall, 8 Kaloorup Rd, Vasse WA 6280.

The Vasse Hall
The Vasse Hall is a historic icon within the Vasse community. The heritage listed building was first built in 1898 and modified and extended in 1936. It has had an important social focus since its construction.
Currently the hall is used by regular service providers such as Crazy Fit, Freedom Church and Tai Chi (contact details in the Fitness & Recreation Page). A full list of services and activities provided through the hall can be found in the hall window located on Kaloorup Rd.
